Whisky on (Antarctic) Ice, Anyone? Posted: 1 month ago by analumass
Conservators in Antarctica are toasting to a fascinating discovery: buried under the frozen Antarctic ground , they found two intact cases of Scotch whisky left behind a century ago by Sir Ernest Shackleton from a failed expedition in 1907.

The cases of Charles Mackinlay & Co. whisky won't be retrieved until January, when the Antarctic Summer sun can melt the ice around them. In the meantime, we will all be left to wonder what century-old, Antarctic-iced Scotch tastes like.
