Have you ever seen a ghost or experienced something similar?
well, with the mention of the sound only happening at the computer, my first thought that it's coming from the computer. i don't think it's haunted, but either there's a hijack program on it that's screwing with the soundcard and speakers, or there's some sort of hardware proglem or failure about to happen.
how frequently do you hear it? every time, occaisonally, or infrequently? maybe at the usual times you sit down at the computer, instead turn it off and do something else, and see if you still hear the sound.
I have a TON, but will only mention a few. Even these few make it a long read...so pop some popcorn and enjoy yourselves.
I come from a small town..and I mean SMALL town. However, I remember when I was a little girl that every where we went, people were every where. The stores were always packed, people beside the street, just people all over the darn place. As I got older, the people just kinda disappeared.
Once when I was about 4ish, we lived out in the country and one day an old man in a suit was walking down the road. I waved to the old man and said Hi, he waved back and said Hello. My mom asked who I was talking to, told her the old man on the road, she didn't see anyone. I still remember this vividly to this day..
These next few you need to know that my family (parents/brother/aunts/cousins..rofl) seems to like living next to this cemetary..lol. Its still used, and is right across from the trailer we lived in, and behind the house that my parents moved into after they moved out of the trailer. There are alot of children buried in it, and it dates back to early 1800's. Its not in town, its out in the country area, but most of my family on my dads side lives out there.
When we lived in the trailer, all kinds of crazy crap would happen there. The fact that my grandmother had died in this darn trailer also didn't help the spooky side of things.
The best story I have about the trailer though is this one. One day while in the living room messing with something on a table, the front door opened up on its own. I called back to mom, who was a bedroom "Hey mom, the ghosts are coming in again" jokingly. I kid you not, at that moment, something walked through me. I have never felt anything like THAT before (or again). It was the craziest thing. Mom had walked out the bedroom to ask what I said again, and she said I was whiter/paler than usual. That the look upon my face was just frightening. Well of course, i had the s**t scared out of me..lol.
In the house that my parents live now (well, now just my dad, mom died in 2006), alot of things there. The old man who built it, raised his family there, lived there all his life till he died there a year before my parents bought it. I've been all alone in the house, taking a shower, hearing footsteps out in the hall/kitchen, watched drawers slowly creak open, etc.
One night it was just me and my kids and my oldest niece in the house watching Disney movies, my folks were at church. Well, we heard the front door open (it was locked, a few foot steps, and some man yell "HEY". Well, my kids said "Papa home", only my niece and I knew otherwise. We got up, and went to look, door still locked, no one in the house..Nada, nothing, zilch. Poor niece was scared to pieces.
One day my daughter ran to the window in the front room yelling "Kids here, kids here" pointing beside the house. I thought maybe my brother and his kids had come over, only to look out the window and see nothing. However, I DID hear children laughing and playing, a s**tload of kids laughing and playing. Then all of a sudden, it faded out. Heaven looked at me and said, "kids gone" and went back to the bedroom like nothing had happen. I went to mom in the kitchen and asked if she heard anything, she said nope, and asked if my brother had pulled up because she heard my daughter say "kids here". I told her no, then what had just happen.
I've got a ton more stories to tell, but I'd be here all day and night and tomorrow...lol.
I will leave you with this though. Its not a ghost story, but it is a good read. I am noted as a miracle child in my family. I've been through more accidents than one can count and have always come out unscratched. I still have experiences to this day. This story I'm about to tell you, is the best of all.
In the house I grew up in, we had to burn wood during the winter. Since dad was a crop farmer, he would use the bob trucks (trucks to usually haul grain) to load wood into, and bring it to the house. This way it could be done in a single trip, since a bob truck would hold alot of wood.
Well, the older trucks had wooden boards/slates holding their insides in. There were these screws that would hold those darn wooden boards on...screws come out, boards come off, everything inside comes out.
Dad had backed the bobtruck up to our wood pile to unload the wood. Dad, Mom, and I were standing a few feet behind the truck when those screws fell off on their own. Dad jokingly said to mom "Go pick those up for me". Mom wasn't stupid, she knew that back was about to come off. I, however, was only about 4ish years old, and thought mom was being a pain. So I went over and picked up the screws. Well, mom and dad start screaming at me to "RUN, MOVE, GET OVER HERE NOW", while something else was telling me to "Don't move". I didn't move. The back fell off the bob truck, and all that wood came tumbling out right above me. Now, how did I survive this you might ask. Well, the wood never touched me. The wood actually fell around me. The wood landed in a circle around me.
Whether it was an act of god, guardian angels, or ghosts....I don't know. I just know that SOMETHING protected me that day. Yes, I remember this, its something I'll never forget.
Hope you enjoyed "stories from the life of tonya", you now know more about me than you probably wanted to..lol.
I actually saw one in our old farm house. We were renovating and no one was livnig upstairs. We used to hear stuff move up there and no one was up there. There was banging on the walls, day and nite.
Footsteps at nite, (when the upstairs was livable and we were sleeping up there) which my husband swore I was coming home from work early and I was not...no one was there.
My gf was psychic and had never visited our home. She said I had no curtains on my back window and she was right, we didnt. That window was one we left open as we could see the pool and the kids in it.
She also asked if there was standing water back there and it was. Our neighbors pond would overflow into our yard. This neighbor proved to be tied to us more than we knew.
She said someone died violently back there and he was drawn to the light of the back window. He was lost and meant us no harm. The banging was him helping my husband renovate.
I asked my husband about it and he turned pale. Years ago, two brothers got in a fight in our back yard where the water is...one got shot and killed. He buried his brother in the farmhouse basement (Of whose water ran off into our property) and they didnt find him for years! My seabee son later found the gun in our back pasture. Unreal, no?
One nite I was in bed and awake and rolled over to see a red flannel shirt, black hair and could not make a face out standing in the bedroom doorway. I screamed, my husband saw nothing. I really think that man offended me when he showed himself to me.
It got to be too much with the pounding, my husband got mad one nite and hit the wall and told him to leave.
I felt pounding under my feet just then (we had no basement, only a crawlspace!) and then he was gone. I felt he was saying goodbye.
I was sad that we sent him off so badly. I should have just told him to go to the real light or to be quiet. He really didnt bother me.
(i can't remember how to place the pic inside the post)
A, is where my folks live now
B is the trailer. First my grandpa lived there, then my aunt, then my parents, now my cousin
C is where my aunt moved to, then my brother moved to.
D is where my brother had a manufactured house put (its gone now) and lived for a few years.
E is where the d**khead who steals from everyone out there lives.
F is where my grandfathers twin sister (and her husband) lives
G is where two gay guys live. They are mega nice and have a fabulous yard during the spring/summer. (only mentioned because i really like them, and they'll help anyone out in a time of need, they are truely great people).
H is where my uncle and his family have lived for many many many years now (my cousin, his daughter, is the one living in B now..lmao)
I also have family living not too far from this aerial shot...we just like being next to each other I guess..lol. Of course, I now live 4hours away from them.
I only lived in the trailer for a year. My parents moved into it the summer before my senior year. Then in the house they (err, well dad) lives in now, I lived there for a year after I seperated from my X-H. The first house I grew up in isn't too far from here. I lived there for almost the first 11 yrs of my life, the next few years we lived in actual town, then dad decided he didn't like "city living" (what a joke, a town of 2000 is city living to him), and moved back out to the country.

I went to a boarding school in New England. And you know how these schools in New England are very old and haunted. Well, mine was too... The school was established in 1826. Anyways, so I lived in this dorm called "East" and it was supposedly the oldest dormitory on campus. I remember I used to use a bunk bed with my roommate, and I used the bottom one. And one weekend, my roommate who was from Boston, went home and I was sleeping by myself. In the middle of the night, I heard loud noises from the top bunk. Mainly girls giggling and chuckling. I was half-asleep so I forgot that my roommate had left. I kept yelling my roommate's name to make her shut-up, but I the noise continued. When I finally opened my eyes to confront my roommate, I saw these bunch of legs just dangling from the top bunk...... I burst into tears and left the room asap... and I requested for a room change the next day.
