Its a sunday, I have no ATM card, I have cash in the bank but they are all closed...
Is my only option to borrow money from a friend?
(PS no checks just a college student who left too much s**t at home...)

You can borrow from a friend or better yet if it is not an emergency case you can wait until Monday.

You can always rob a convenience store. j/k

Maybe it's time for an ATM card, I went years without one, until I started getting paid by direct deposit. Now it's the easiest way to get cash.

If you really need cash tonight, hit someone up for a loan and when you pay 'em back, give them a buck or two extra.

Have you checked to make sure your bank doesn't have a branch that is open Sundays? Branches in grocery stores are often open Sundays.

I can't even imagine life without an ATM card. I do have a credit card, but I've only used it a couple of times yet. I get all my cash from ATMs, since I usually only remember I need some after the banks have closed, or I use it for direct debit.

Maybe the system works somewhat different over here.

no, it's the same with me. I rarely have cash on me, use the atm card for everything.

Check the pockets of all your trousers, any where you might shove money. Check the couch for any back of the sofa change. I always find change in my room where it has fallen out of my pockets when I get changed. It might be enough for some food, or something?

I never carry cash... the only time I did was when I worked as a bartender (tip money). I always had a debit card.

It is sort of weird that your bank didn't automatically give you a debit card when you opened your bank account...

Not totally. It depends on the kind of account... He's young, so it's not too surprising. I was halfway through school before I got one.

Double posts are fun.

It's possible to get by without a card... for awhile. this might be a sign that you get one.
